Dollars for Dogs and Anchorage Crime Stoppers are hosting a fundraiser on February 18 and 19 at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts. Paradizo Dance, semi-finalists on America’s Got Talent, along with Anchorage’s own Studio 49 will be performing a variety of dance routines and aerial acrobatics. The shows begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Sydney Laurence Theatre on both nights. Tickets are available at http://www.centertix.net/; tickets are $25 general admission; senior citizens, students, and military tickets are $16.
Paradizo Dance will be performing a special routine at the Go Red for Women Luncheon on February 17, at 11:30 at the Marriott Hotel. Members of the media are invited to interview the dance duo and observe their one-of-a-kind performance. Board members from Dollars For Dogs and Anchorage Crime Stoppers will also be available for interviews.
About the Charities:
Dollars for Dogs is the charity that purchases police dogs, training and equipment for the Anchorage Police Department. Each dog costs about $12,000.
Anchorage Crime Stoppers pays rewards to tipsters who provide information which results in the arrest of a wanted felon or the solving of a felony crime. Annually, Anchorage Crime Stoppers pays out approximately $8,000-15,000 to tipsters, while keeping them anonymous.
