It is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week!
While we always appreciate our public safety Dispatchers, Call Takers, and Report Takers, this week we celebrate these remarkable professionals for the vital and unwavering service they provide our community – 24/7/365. Please join us as we pay tribute to our Dispatch heroes; to the unseen voices of calm and reason helping us through our most difficult circumstances; to these incredible individuals doing the job so many of us simply could not do.
To our Public Safety Telecommunicators – we thank you for your service!

- APD Launches New Crime Mapping System
The Anchorage Police Department is pleased to announce the public launch of a new crime mapping system called RAIDS Online to keep citizens informed of crime activity in their area. The system maps and analyzes crime data, while alerting Anchorage citizens about crime in the community. RAIDS Online automatically syncs with the Anchorage Police Department’s records system to keep crime information updated online and in the mobile app. To learn how to use RAIDS Online, a video tutorial is available on APD's Youtube Feed here.
RAIDS Online Mobile App
The RAIDS Online Mobile App is available for FREE in the App Store. Using the App, you can click on an incident for more information or display a hotspot map based on the crimes that are currently in display. Users can also sign up for neighborhood watch reports that automatically email any recent crime activity daily, weekly or monthly.
