The Anchorage Police Department arrested 396 people the week of October 11 - 17, 2009.

Of those arrested, the majority were in the category of Warrant Offenses.

Subject:  Are You Prepared for Winter

Every winter season brings icy roads, hazardous conditions and collisions.  Make sure you have the necessary items in your vehicle should you become stranded. The are certain items you should have in your vehicle for those unfortunate times where you may be stuck or stranded waiting for help.  There are several businesses in town that also sell safety kits which should be purchased and carried in your vehicle.  Not only will you be prepared but you may also be able to assist another in need.
