How Can We Help You?

Parks and Recreation

Adapted Recreation

Parks & Recreation encourages and supports recreation and leisure opportunities for people who experience a disability. The Adapted Aquatics program, held at West High School Pool offers several classes during the year. This program is exclusively for people who experience a disability, ages 3 and up, and is offered during the fall, winter and spring seasons and typically ends in May. For Adapted Aquatics questions, contact Abbey Harding, 343-4121. For a complete listing of Adapted Aquatics classes, you can view the current Activity Guide online, accessible from the Parks & Recreation homepage, or pick one up at any Parks & Recreation facility.

Registration for classes is continuing and is done on a call in basis. Registration will be ongoing or until classes are filled. Classes are on a first come, first served basis. If a class is full, a waiting list will be taken. Payment is due at time of registration.

Volunteers needed! We are always in need of volunteers to assist instructors and help students get the most out of their class. No swimming experience is needed.

For more information, either e-mail Teri Desy or call 343-4297.
