Running Events

Running, which is among the oldest sports in the world, is practiced year-round on both competitive and recreational levels by males and females of all ages. You will find most weekends throughout the summer packed with running/walking events. The hardest part is deciding which event you want to do. Running events are open to runners & walkers of all abilities. Check periodically throughout the year for race changes listed at the bottom. Consult your Alaska Runners Calendar for race listings, or send a check (in the amount you think the calendar is worth) made payable to MOA, to:

  • Parks & Recreation
  • Attn: Runners Calendar
  • P.O. Box 196650
  • Anchorage, AK 99519-6650

To see how long it will take you to finish a race, view the pace chart.
