Remote Control Aircraft

Members of the public are permitted to fly remote control aircraft in two designated areas within the Municipality - Storck Park in Anchorage and Loretta French Park RC Airstrip in Chugiak.

Anyone flying a remote control aircraft is required to carry liability insurance to cover all activities. Insurance is most easily attained through membership in either the Alaska Radio Control Society (Anchorage) or the Frontier Fun Flyers (Chugiak). Hours for flying remote control aircraft at each park are listed below.

Storck Park: 8am-3pm Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday

Loretta French Park RC Airstrip: Contact the Frontier Fun Flyers for more information.

You can locate these parks using the online Maps and Apps Gallery.
