Directed to utilize technology gain efficiencies and cost-savings in government, this project has implemented a number of public facing and back-office applications and services over the past year:

Muni Website Redesign

This project included an overhaul and redesign of the Municipal website with a focus on improving customer service and enhancing online services. The site was placed on a standardized development platform to allow for easy management of content, customer relationship, and back office processes. This site lays the foundation for all future online services at the Municipality of Anchorage. http://www.muni.org

Purchasing Opportunities Online

Implemented for the Municipal Purchasing Department, this new service posts bidding opportunities and associated drawings, addenda, and abstracts online for potential bidders to review. The system automates the document posting process and eliminates time-consuming and costly printing services. http://purchasing.muni.org

CrimeMap Online

Timely Anchorage-area crime data is displayed from previous days or categorized by crime type. Built using the familiar Google Map interface, this service was built as a partnership between the IT Department and the Anchorage Police Department. http://crimemap.muni.org/
