Information and Events

The 2011 Notice of Foreclosure

Every March the Municipality publishes, as required by Alaska State Statutes, the annual Notice of Foreclosure list.  The attached document (see link at end of this paragraph) lists properties that are delinquent in paying either property taxes or special assessments for years leading up to and including 2010.  The Alaska Star publishes this document and it is also accessible and downloadable by clicking here: 2011 Foreclosures List

NOTE: Properties IN FORECLOSURE are NOT currently for sale by the MOA.  For this year's sale of properties that are foreclosed, please see "Upcoming Sale" paragraph, below.

For more information on the MOA foreclosure process, be sure to download this very informative booklet: Foreclosed Properties Guide

SALE OF FORECLOSED PROPERTIES - 2011

On March 29, 2011, the Anchorage Assembly approved Assembly Ordinance #2011-27, authorizing the sale of properties that had to be foreclosed on and which the Municipality has taken tax deed.
The sale was conducted on June 16th.  For more information, click on the "MOA's Foreclosed Properties Sale" link in the Left Column, or click on: Foreclosure Sale web page.   This page also provides you with past years' foreclosure sales information

Foreclosure Fees
Foreclosure fees shows the break-down of administrative fees approved in 2008 that are incurred while property is in delinquency. These fees help recoup administrative costs to RES.
