Cosmetological Establishments

The Food Safety & Sanitation (FSS) program regulates and inspects beauty and barber shops within the Municipality of Anchorage. Cosmetological establishments are subject to regulation under Anchorage Municipal Code 16.50.

A person seeking a beauty shop/barbershop permit may download an application from the link on this page or apply at the Environmental Services customer service counter located at 825 L Street. The permit fee is $140.00.
