Municipal Complete Count Committee

The Municipality Of Anchorage is working very closely with the United States Census Bureau to communicate the importance of filling out and mailing back the 2010 Census form. The US Census Bureau has assigned a Partnership Specialist to work with the MOA and other key local community organizations & stakeholders to promote the 2010 census to our residents. Ms. Fleek welcomes all organizations and persons who wish to obtain census information or sponsor an event at which the Census Bureau can distribute information promoting the 2010 Census to contact her directly.

The Municipality Of Anchorage will also be working closely with Ms. Fleek between now and April 2010 Census Day.

A Complete Count Committee (CCC) for Anchorage is currently working to ensure that a complete count takes place on April 1, 2010. The mission of this committee is to raise awareness about the importance of the 2010 Census, reach out to hard-to-enumerate groups, and encourage participation in the Census in order to obtain an accurate count of Anchorage residents.

This Committee consists of representatives from local businesses, educators, Alaska Native groups, community-based social service and faith-based organizations, and local media.
