Prohibition of Smoking in Public Places Ordinance

Everyone in the Municipality of Anchorage is entitled to a smoke-free workplace and smoke-free access to public places as defined in the smoking ordinance, AMC 16.65 with was amended in 2006 to prohibit smoking in all public places.

Effective July 1, 2007, smoking is prohibited in all public places including bars. A copy of the ordinance can be downloaded here.
