Aircraft Registration Tax
Anchorage Municipal Code (AMC) Chapter 12.08 requires that all persons owning any interest in an aircraft located or operated within the Municipality of Anchorage register such aircraft. Also, if you sell your aircraft or it becomes non-airworthy you must notify the Municipal Tax Office.

Payments
You may pay your Aircraft Registration Tax to the Municipality of Anchorage by credit card. These are the only options available to pay your Aircraft Registration Tax account balances with a credit card. There will be a nominal fee of 2.75% charged for use of ether of these services.
You may use either of the two methods listed below:
(Note: To complete the transaction by either of these two methods, be ready to provide your "Account No." Your account number contains seven (7) digits and is included on billing statements sent by the Municipality.
- Visit http://www.officialpayments.com/, or
- Call 1-800-272-9829 (at the prompt, enter Jurisdiction Code 1201).
- To pay your Aircraft Registration Tax you must select the "Local Payments" tax option and then "Aircraft Registration Tax" option.
- Confirmation Number. Payment is valid only if a confirmation number is received when the transaction is complete. If paying online, print/save the confirmation page as proof of payment.
Failure to pay in full by the due date will result in a late payment penalty of $25.00 each month added to the account. After $300.00 in penalties has accrued the account will be referred to an outside collection agency.
