The Office of Equal Opportunity is a resource for employees of the Municipality who have questions or concerns regarding discrimination in the municipal workplace. The OEO is not a formal compliance agency, but is available to provide assistance and support to aid in the resolution of informal complaints or to inform employees of their options to file a formal complaint with the ER Department or an official compliance agency.
Informal complaints should be brought to the attention of the OEO within thirty (30) calendar days of the date the incident occurred. The Office of Equal Opportunity will make every effort to resolve a complaint within thirty (30) calendar days. If you have questions or concerns regarding discrimination or harassment we encourage you to call the OEO at 343-4878 and ask to speak with someone. Employees may speak to the OEO for assistance in utilizing official duty time to meet with an OEO officer.
