G. O. Bonds

2004 General Obligation Bonds

Dear Anchorage voter: March/April 2004

To keep our economy healthy, we need to invest in improvements for our city. That’s why the Anchorage Assembly and I have proposed the enclosed $77.5 million bond package that will appear on the April 6th city ballot.
     These 9 bonds will:
      • Tackle traffic congestion and improve road safety;
      • Make Anchorage safer by upgrading Police and Fire facilities;
      • Expand our library with better facilities;
      • Improve parks, cultural and recreation facilities.
I believe the projects funded by these bonds are a vital and necessary investment in improving Anchorage’s quality of life. I urge you to carefully review this information and please vote on April 6th.
