Residential Recycling

Starting in 2008, Anchorage Solid Waste Services began to roll out the automated system we have today. If you are a residential customer of SWS, then you're eligible for a FREE 96-gallon recycling roll-cart.

Any building with more than 3 housing units is considered "commercial" by SWS. CLICK HERE for commercial recycling options.

Save money by recycling

80% of your neighbors already have subscribed to our FREE residential recycling program. SWS has a pay-as-you-throw rate structure. Basically this means you can start recycling and downsize your trash car, save money, and extend the life of the landfill!
