Winter Weather Preparedness
Residents of Anchorage will always be impacted by winter weather at some point in the year
Complete your Winter Weather Mitigation
Be Prepared:
- If you run a generator, do so safely. Generators and Grills should only be used OUTSIDE
- Stay off roads, if you can
- Limit your time outside. If you need to go outside, wear layers
- Avoid overexertion when shoveling and walking in snow
Be Smart:
- Plug your block heater in at 20 degrees to prevent wear on your car engine
