Ship Creek Master Plan
The Ship Creek Master Plan is scheduled for public hearing before the Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday, November 4, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. in the Assembly Chambers of the Z.J. Loussac Library, 3600 Denali Street.
The project was led by the Mayor's Office and the Anchorage Economic Development Corporation (AEDC). The proposed plan was prepared by KlingStubbins, a consulting firm retained by AEDC. The role of the Planning Division is to provide support to the Planning and Zoning Commission, the Geotechnical Advisory Commission, and the Watershed & Natural Resources Advisory Commission throughout the public review process.
The proposed plan is a redevelopment plan intended to replace the 1991 Ship Creek/Waterfront Land Use Plan as an area-specific element of the city’s comprehensive plan, and provide a new master plan to guide the development of the Ship Creek basin and related tidelands into the next 50 years.
The Ship Creek Master Plan is available for viewing below. Because of its large size, the document is broken out by chapters.
