ANCHORAGE – Today, on behalf of the citizens of Anchorage, Mayor Ethan Berkowitz received the 2015 Anchorage Transition Report from transition co-chairs Andrew Halcro, Joelle Hall, and Ethan Schutt.

“I’m grateful for the many individuals who shared their thoughts and experience and provided a guideline for how we can come together to build a new Anchorage,” said Mayor Berkowitz.

The transition team focused on five key policy areas: public safety, homelessness, administration, jobs/economy, and the “Live, Work, Play” initiative.  Community and business leaders collaborated in groups, participating in public work sessions focused on an inclusive, transparent, and community driven process.  The transition report includes each working group’s final product; goals for 60 days, 6 months, and 3 years.
