Susan Duck has been hired as Special Assistant to the Mayor to organize and execute the series of events being planned to commemorate the Anchorage Centennial.
Susan will be meeting with community members, clubs, organizations, businesses and corporations and inviting everyone to participate in our 100th anniversary.
Susan was the Events Manager for the Anchorage Fur Rendezvous from 2004-2012, and was Executive Director of the event from 2006-2012.
She has experience in managing and overseeing a wide variety of events. She is a great fit for this position and for the executive team.
Dan Kendall has been hired as Director of Intergovernmental Affairs. He has over 30 years of experience working for Enstar Natural Gas Company in Anchorage.
Dan was a member of the Anchorage Municipal Assembly from 1994-2004, representing the Chugiak-Eagle River area.
“I’m thrilled to add high caliber employees like Susan and Dan to my team. I want to congratulate Darrel Hess on his new position as Municipal Ombudsman. We are losing him as the Homeless Coordinator for the Municipality of Anchorage but I want to express my gratitude for Darrel. He has been an exceptional employee,” said Mayor Sullivan.
