Anchorage– Mayor Dan Sullivan offered his condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Anchorage Fire Department employee, Elliott Taylor, a firefighter killed accidentally last night when the gun his friend was cleaning fired and struck him.

“Lynnette and I offer our thoughts and prayers for Taylor’s family and friends,” Mayor Dan Sullivan said. “This tragic accident took a beloved colleague, son, brother, and husband. His professionalism and service to our community will not be forgotten.”

Taylor was a 3-year veteran of the Anchorage Fire Department; he worked out of Station No. 3 in Airport Heights, and was a former U.S. Marine.
