Anchorage– Mayor Dan Sullivan offered his condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Anchorage Fire Department employee, Andrew Mullen, a firefighter who passed away from cancer late last night.

“Lynnette and I offer our thoughts and prayers for Mullen’s family and friends,” Mayor Dan Sullivan said. “Mullen was a beloved colleague who regularly participated in charitable events that benefitted the community. I know his fellow firefighters will feel his absence for many years.”

Mullen was a 14-year veteran of the Anchorage Fire Department.

Mullen is believed to have died as a result from injuries he sustained while on the job. As such, he will receive the appropriate honors.
