The Municipality of Anchorage (MOA) Public Transportation Department is pleased to announce the new ePay online bus pass website. The ePay website will allow the purchase of People Mover bus passes and Ride Guides at www.muni.org.

In partnership with Official Payments Corporation (OPC), one of the country's leading ePayment gateways, patrons can now purchase bus passes online using a credit card. The contract funding will be covered by users who will pay a $2.50 convenience fee for each transaction up to $150.

“We’re very excited to offer a service that allows riders to buy passes online,” says Jody Karcz, Public Transportation Director. “We want to make riding the bus easy and convenient. Many riders find it difficult to get to the transit center during business hours; ePay will allow people to buy passes when it’s convenient for them, in their own home.”

Bus passes may still be purchased at the Downtown and Dimond Transit Centers, all municipal libraries and other sales outlet locations.

In 2009, People Mover launched a new web application, Bus Tracker, accessible at http://bustracker.muni.org/. Using automated vehicle location and GPS technology, riders can track their bus along its route and obtain the estimated time the bus will arrive at specific stops. In addition, real-time signs installed at four transit centers and a busy Providence Drive bus stop, provide passengers with the estimated time of arrival of all the routes that service those stops.
