The Suzanne Alexander Memorial Aid Station
Suzanne Alexander was Chair of the Anchorage Sister Cities Commission, and then the Sister Cities International State Coordinator. She passed away unexpectedly in 2004 while she held the position of State Coordinator. The Aid Station pictured was for the Mayor’s Midnight Sun Marathon Race. The Commission sponsored and manned this station toward the end of the race and was popular with the hot and tired runners because of a refreshing shower feature added to this station. This year the Anchorage Sister Cities Commission dedicated the station in honor and in memory of Suzanne.
