At the Downtown Rotary Meeting, on Januray 25, 2011, Comission Howe and Miss Anchorage/ Miss Alaska 2010 winner Abby Hancock were the main speakers. The two spoke about the Anchorage Sister Cities Commission with special emphasis on Chitose, Japan. Miss Anchorage and the Commissioner also attended the July 2010 festival in Chitose.
