Mayor using social media to enhance communication
What is a blog? A blog is a type of website, usually maintained by an individual, organization or group with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material. The mayor will use his blog to communicate directly with the public.
Anyone can easily follow the Mayor's blog by recieving the RSS feed. Sign up to recieve regularly changing content automatically. All that is needed is a feed reader or news aggregator such as FeedReader or NewsGator or web based readers like Google Reader, My Yahoo, or Bloglines. Look for the acronyms "RSS" or the icon

How is twitter used? The mayor plans to use twitter as a complementary communication tool. He will tweet informal updates on what he is doing and/or thinking about.
Will I find the same information on Facebook? Sometimes. Social media is designed to engage the public, and different people prefer different forums.
