High Fire Danger

Contact: John See   Phone: 267-4902
**UPDATED RELEASE**

The Anchorage Fire Chief is reminding residents that the Municipal-wide burn ban is still in affect.  All open burning, with the exception of personal use propane, electric, and charcoal grills is prohibited during the burn ban.  The enforcement of the ban will be strictly enforced.  Violations could result in a citation and the Department is asking for the public’s assistance in abstaining from any open burning and reporting illegal fires promptly by calling 911.

Personal use fireworks are illegal in the Municipality of Anchorage at all times during the year and their use is particularly dangerous during this dry fire season.
