 Suspicious Residential Fire

On Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at approximately 01:35 am the Anchorage Fire Department Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call reporting a residential structure fire at 3821 Runestad Circle.  Upon arrival APD officers found a small fire to a trailer along the west side of the house and a shed fire that was extending to the residence.  AFD dispatched 11 units to the reported fire.  AFD Crews arrived and reported a shed fire just north of the residence.  Crews quickly extinguished the fire prior to it extending into the residence.  There was no damage estimate given.

The fire investigator responded and conducted an investigation.  Due to recent information learned about the investigation the cause of the fire is now classified as incendiary.   The AFD Investigator believes that this fire is not related to any other arson that have occurred in the Anchorage area.
