NOTICE OF MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY PUBLIC HEARINGS: 

The Assembly of the Municipality of Anchorage will hold a public hearing on the following legislation at its regular meeting of November 7, 2017.  The public hearing portion of the meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. and is held in the Assembly Chambers, Z.J. Loussac Library, 3600 Denali: 

Ordinance No. AO 2017-134, an ordinance of the Municipality of Anchorage amending the Chugiak–Eagle River Comprehensive Plan Update Land Use Plan Map to change the use classification of approximately 5.97 acres from “Commercial” to “Residential, 3 – 6 Dwellings Per Acre” for a portion of US Government Lot 1, Section 2, T14N, R2W, Seward Meridian, Alaska, generally located in Eagle River (Planning and Zoning Commission Case 2017-0075), Planning Department.

Ordinance No. AO 2017-135, an ordinance amending the zoning map and approving the rezoning of approximately 5.97 acres from CE-RO SL (Residential-Office with Special Limitations) District to CE-R-1 (Single-Family Residential) District for a portion of US Government Lot 1, Section 2, T14N, R2W, Seward Meridian, Alaska; generally located west of the Glenn Highway, north of Mercy Drive, east of Curry Ridge Circle and south of Mills Park Circle (Eagle River Community Council) (Planning and Zoning Commission Case 2017-0074), Planning Department.

Resolution No. AR 2017-337, a resolution adopting the Anchorage Design Criteria, Chapter 2, Drainage, 2017, consisting of the Anchorage Stormwater Manual, Volumes 1 and 2 (Planning and Zoning Case No. 2017-007), Project Management & Engineering.

Ordinance No. AO 2017-138, an ordinance authorizing a disposal of an electrical easement, located on a portion of Parcel No. 2, Record of Survey, T13N, R4W, Section 25, NE Quarter between Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility and Chugach Electric Association, Inc. 

Ordinance No. AO 2017-139, an ordinance authorizing a disposal of an electrical easement, located on a portion of Tract A, Alaska State Land Survey No. 2001-21, between Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility and Chugach Electric Association, Inc.  

Ordinance No. AO 2017-140, an ordinance approving acquisition of real property, legally described as Tract B, Cook Subdivision (Plat 82-57) (PID 009-131-20), for a purchase price, including related expenses, in an amount Not To Exceed $6,000,000 and authorizing an Interfund Loan In an amount Not To Exceed $6,000,000 from the General Liability and Workers Compensation Fund (602) And appropriating the proceeds of such Interfund Loan to Real Estate Services Division (RES) Areawide General Fund (101) and further appropriating the proceeds of the Interfund Loan as a contribution to the RES Areawide General Capital Improvement Project Fund (401), Office of Economic and Community Development and Real Estate Services. 

Ordinance No. AO 2017-141, an ordinance of the Anchorage Municipal Assembly amending Title 12 of the Anchorage Municipal Code by adding Chapter 12.55 to adopt and levy an Excise Tax on Motor Fuel, establish the requirements and procedures for its administration, collection and enforcement including, but not limited to: Definitions; Tax Rate; Dealer Registration; Tax Credits; Tax Returns; Prohibited Acts; Penalties and Interest; Application of Payments; Records Retention, Inspection and Confidentiality; Tax Refunds; and Taxpayer Remedies; and related matters, Assembly Chair Traini and Mayor Berkowitz.  

Ordinance No. AO 2017-142, an omnibus ordinance of the Anchorage Assembly amending Anchorage Municipal Code and Anchorage Municipal Code of Regulations to modify existing fees regarding taxicab permits and ambulance transport, Office of Management and Budget. 

Ordinance No. AO 2017-143, an ordinance of the Anchorage Assembly repealing and reenacting Anchorage Municipal Code Chapter 7.50 - Equal Employment Opportunity Contract Compliance - to update Contract Compliance Requirements,  and amending Anchorage Municipal Code Chapter 7.10 – Definitions, Department of Law. 

Resolution No. AR 2017-350, a resolution authorizing disposal of a Municipal Light and Power Utility easement without substantial value within Lots 5, 6 and 7 Block 4 Romig Park Subdivision (Plat P-188A) (PID 001-164-69; 001-164-70; 001-164-31), Municipal Light and Power.  

Resolution No. AR 2017-351, a resolution of the Municipality of Anchorage appropriating $101,170,28 of reimbursed cost revenues from the State of Alaska Department of Natural Resources to the Miscellaneous Operational Grants Fund (261), for  deployment to the McHugh Creek Fire, Anchorage Fire Department.
