NOTICE OF MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY PUBLIC HEARINGS: 

The Assembly of the Municipality of Anchorage will hold a public hearing on the following ordinance at its regular meeting of March 7, 2017.  The public hearing portion of the meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. and is held in the Assembly Chambers, Z.J. Loussac Library, 3600 Denali: 

Ordinance No. AO 2017-32, an ordinance amending the zoning map and approving the rezoning of approximately 13.7 acres from R-4 SL (Multifamily Residential Mixed-Use District) with Special Limitations per AO 2009-39 to R-4 SL with different special limitations for Richport Subdivision, Tract 1; generally located at the Northwest Corner of the intersection of O’Malley Road and Lake Otis Parkway, in Anchorage. (Abbott Loop Community Council) (Planning and Zoning Commission Case 2017-0003), Planning Department. 

Ordinance No. AO 2017-37, an ordinance of the Anchorage Municipal Assembly submitting to the qualified voters residing within the Girdwood Valley Service Area, at a special election to be held concurrently with Regular Municipal Election on April 4, 2017, a ballot proposition to extend the boundaries of the Girdwood Valley Service Area to incorporate several Heritage Land Bank parcels, and to accordingly amend Anchorage Municipal Code 27.30.700, Assembly Member Weddleton.   

Ordinance No. AO 2017-38, an ordinance of the Anchorage Municipal Assembly submitting to qualified voters residing in all areas of the Municipality not currently in a service area providing police protection services at a special election to be held concurrently with the Regular Municipal Election on April 4, 2017, a ballot proposition to create a Turnagain Arm Police Service Area (TAPSA), with the power to provide for police services at the sole expense of the TAPSA, and to set a maximum attainable mill levy rate; and amending Title 27, as appropriate, upon voter approval of the ballot proposition, effective retroactively to January 1, 2017, Assembly Member Weddleton.
