NOTICE OF MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY PUBLIC HEARINGS: 

The Assembly of the Municipality of Anchorage will hold a public hearing on the following legislation at its regular meeting of March 20, 2018.  The public hearing portion of the meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. and is held in the Assembly Chambers, Z.J. Loussac Library, 3600 Denali: 

Ordinance No. AO 2018-14, an ordinance of the Municipality of Anchorage creating a Special Assessment District for the construction of a gas line extension to serve the Canyon Road Area, and determining to proceed with proposed improvements therein, Public Works Administration.

Resolution No. AR 2018-48, a resolution of the Anchorage Municipal Assembly to name the fieldhouse at the Chuck Albrecht Softball Fields the “Jack Powers Fieldhouse”, Mayor’s Office.

Ordinance No. AO 2018-18, an ordinance authorizing a lease on a portion of Lot 9, Section 7, T 13 N, R 2 W between the Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility and Anchorage Ventures, LLC, Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility. 

Resolution No. AR 2018-58, a resolution of the Municipality of Anchorage, Alaska, confirming and levying assessments for the sewer special improvements within Levy Upon Connection (LUC) Roll  2018-S-1, setting date of payment and providing for penalties and interest in the event of delinquency, Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility. 

Resolution No. AR 2018-59, a resolution of the Municipality of Anchorage, Alaska, confirming and levying assessments for the water special improvements within Levy Upon Connection (LUC) Roll 2018-W-1, setting date of payment and providing for penalties and interest in the event of delinquency, Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility. 

Resolution No. AR 2018-64, a resolution appropriating $1,000,000 of Medical/Dental Self Insurance Fund (603000), Fund Balance to the Medical/Dental Self Insurance Fund (603000) as a contribution and appropriating said contribution to the Areawide General Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) Fund (401800) for payment to Vera Whole Health for leasehold improvements related to the Vera Medical Clinic, all within the Employee Relations Department, Employee Relations Department. 

Ordinance No. AO 2018-10, an ordinance determining and approving the total amount of the annual operating budget of the Anchorage School District for its Fiscal Year 2018-2019 and determining and appropriating the portion of the Assembly approved budget amount to be made available from local sources, Anchorage School District. 

Ordinance No. AO 2018-19, an ordinance authorizing the disposal by a relocatable public use easement to Girdwood Mountain Bike Alliance of portions within Heritage Land Bank Parcels 6-251 and 6-296, legally described as portions within Sec 3, 5, 10, 33, 34 T10N R2E and portions within Sec 2, 3, 4, 9, 10 T11N R2E, in Girdwood, for twenty (20) years at less than fair market value (PID 076-051-02; 076-051-05), Real Estate Department. 

Ordinance No. AO 2018-20, an ordinance authorizing the disposal by competitive bid of real property legally described as Tract C Knik View Estates Subdivision (Plat 86-113) (PID 051-043-02), in Chugiak, Real Estate Department. 

Ordinance No. AO 2018-21, an ordinance authorizing the disposal by competitive bid of real property, legally described as Tract A Block 5 Eagle River Heights North Subdivision (PID 050-191-07), in Eagle River, Real Estate Department. 

Ordinance No. AO 2018-22, an ordinance authorizing the disposal by competitive bid of Heritage Land Bank (HLB) Parcel 2-144C, legally described as Tract C Potter Heights Subdivision Addition No. 1 (Plat 2017-24) (PID 020-281-91), and amending the 2016 HLB Annual Work Program and 2017 – 2021 Five-Year Management Plan, Real Estate Department. 

Ordinance No. AO 2018-23, an ordinance of the Municipality of Anchorage adopting the update of the Chugiak – Eagle River Site Specific Land Use Plan and amending the Chugiak–Eagle River Comprehensive Plan Update Land Use Plan Map, Planning Department.  

Resolution No. AR 2018-68, a resolution of the Municipality of Anchorage appropriating not to exceed one hundred seven thousand five hundred dollars ($107,500) from the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (ADOT&PF), Federal Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century Funding to the Project Management and Engineering Department within the Anchorage Roads and Drainage Service Area Capital Improvement Fund (441900) when tendered for support related to AMATS Anchorage Areawide Trails Rehabilitation Project, Mt. View Drive Pathway, Project Management and Engineering (PM&E) Project PW16031.  

Resolution No. AR 2018-69, a resolution of the Municipality of Anchorage appropriating $770,000 from earnings within the MOA Trust Fund (730000) for expert Financial Management and Support Services provided in calendar year 2018, Finance Department. 

Resolution No. AR 2018-70, a resolution appropriating an amount not to exceed $601,000 of General Liability and Workers’ Comp Fund (602), Fund Balance to the General Liability and Workers’ Comp Fund (602), in the Municipal Manager Department 2017 Operating Budget, commensurate with 2017 expenditures and incurred but not reported (IBNR), Office of Management and Budget.
