NOTICE OF MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY PUBLIC HEARINGS: 

The Assembly of the Municipality of Anchorage will hold a public hearing on the following legislation at its regular meeting of January 15, 2019.  The public hearing portion of the meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. and is held in the Assembly Chambers, Z.J. Loussac Library, 3600 Denali: 

Ordinance No. AO 2018-109, an ordinance submitting to qualified voters of Anchorage, Alaska, the question of issuing  General Obligation Bonds of the Municipality of Anchorage not to exceed $55,113,000 to pay the costs of capital improvements for the Anchorage School District at the April 2, 2019 Municipal Election, Anchorage School District. 

Ordinance No. AO 2018-119, an ordinance of the Municipality of Anchorage, Alaska, authorizing the borrowing and accepting, from the State of Alaska Clean Water Fund, an aggregate amount not to exceed $38,040,209 for the purpose of financing a portion of twenty-six AWWU Capital Improvement Wastewater Projects and providing for related matters, Anchorage Water & Wastewater Utility.

Ordinance No. AO 2018-120, an ordinance of the Municipality of Anchorage, Alaska, authorizing the borrowing and accepting, from the State of Alaska Drinking Water Fund, an aggregate amount not to exceed $15,139,000 for the purpose of financing a portion of twelve AWWU Capital Improvement Water Projects and providing for related matters, Anchorage Water & Wastewater Utility. 

Resolution No. AR 2018-384, a resolution of the Municipality of Anchorage appropriating $696,750 in the form of a reimbursable grant award from the State of Alaska Land and Water Conservation Grant Fund Program to the Anchorage Bowl Parks and Recreation Service Area Capital Improvement Fund (461900), within the Department of Parks and Recreation to be used for the purpose of upgrading Chanshtnu Muldoon Park, Parks & Recreation Department. 

Resolution No. AR 2018-385, a resolution of the Municipality of Anchorage appropriating $200,712.15 of Insurance Proceeds as a contribution and appropriating said contribution from the Traffic Department 2018 Operating Budget, Areawide General Fund (101000) to the Areawide General Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Fund (401800) all within the Traffic Department for repair and maintenance of traffic signals and signage, Traffic Department. 

Resolution No. AR 2018-386, a resolution confirming and levying special assessments for Special Assessment District 18-04, which constructed a gas line extension serving the Canyon Road Area, and setting the date of assessment installment payments, interest on unpaid assessments, and providing for penalties and interest in the event of delinquency, Public Works Administration. 

Resolution No. AR 2018-394, a resolution of the Municipality of Anchorage appropriating, when tendered, $3,296,000 of a Section 5307/5340 grant program, from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), and appropriating $88,728 as a contribution from the 2018 Operating Budget, Areawide General Fund (101), for Municipal Central Service Agencies’ support, to the Federal Grant Fund (241) for preventative maintenance activities, all within the Public Transportation Department. 

Resolution No. AR 2018-397, a resolution of the Municipality of Anchorage appropriating an amount of $223,191 to the Areawide General and Various Service Areas (SA) Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) Funds from premiums on the sale of 2018 General Obligation Bond Series A for the payment of bond issuance costs in an amount of $217,893 and for contributions in an amount of $5,298 from the same Areawide General and Various SA CIP Funds to their respective Areawide General and Various SA Operating Funds for future debt service payments, Finance Department.
