NOTICE OF MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY PUBLIC HEARING: 

The Assembly of the Municipality of Anchorage will hold a public hearing on the following legislation at its regular meeting of December 5, 2017.  The public hearing portion of the meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. and is held in the Assembly Chambers, Z.J. Loussac Library, 3600 Denali: 

Resolution No. AR 2017-361, a resolution ratifying a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Municipality of Anchorage and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1547 (Technicians), Employee Relations Department.

Ordinance No. AO 2017-150, an ordinance of the Anchorage Municipal Assembly amending Anchorage Municipal Code Chapter 10.80 to incorporate changes similar to the State regulation changes adopted by the State of Alaska regarding the transportation of marijuana or a marijuana product, and providing for a retroactive effective date, Assembly Member Weddleton.   

Ordinance No. AO 2017-151, an ordinance authorizing a five year lease with five one-year renewal options between the Municipality of Anchorage (Tenant) and Nelson Company, LLC (Lessor) for premises located at 6280 Burlwood Street for the Anchorage Police Department’s Special Response Vehicle Storage Warehouse Facility, Real Estate Department.

Ordinance No. AO 2017-152, an ordinance waiving rezone application fees for real property, legally described as Lot 3 Sec 16 T15N R1W, Tract 1 North Birchwood Subdivision (Plat 84-39), and a remnant of Lot 20 Sec 9 T15N R1W (PID 051-194-02; 051-143-27; 015-143-21) for the operation and expansion of the Chugiak-Eagle River Senior Center, in an amount Not To Exceed $27,251, Real Estate Department. 

Ordinance No. AO 2017-155,  an ordinance of the Anchorage Municipal Assembly amending Anchorage Municipal Code Chapter 8.80 to remove the exemption from fees for  excessive police responses for non-profit and charitable properties, and add on-site security guards at commercial properties as an example of appropriate corrective action, Assembly Chair Traini and Assembly Member Demboski.    

Ordinance No. AO 2017-156, an ordinance of the Anchorage Municipal Assembly amending certain provisions of Anchorage Municipal Code Title 8 to update and amend sections for consistency with recent State Statute amendments related to Violation of Conditions of Release, Department of Law. 

Resolution No. AR 2017-372, a resolution of the Municipality of Anchorage appropriating $125,000 of Other Fines and Forfeitures Revenue from Federal Seizures and Forfeitures to the Federal/State Fine and Forfeiture Fund (257) for use by the Anchorage Police Department. 

Resolution No. AR 2017-373, a resolution of the Municipality of Anchorage appropriating $275,000 from the Port of Alaska Fund (570000) Unrestricted Fund Balance to the Port of Alaska Capital Improvement Fund (570200) to purchase a replacement street sweeper and revising the 2017 Port CIB. 

Ordinance No. 2017-130(S), AN ORDINANCE OF THE ANCHORAGE MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY AMENDING ANCHORAGE MUNICIPAL CODE SECTIONS 15.20.020 AND 15.20.120 TO REDUCE THE NOTICE TIME FOR PUBLIC NUISANCE [illegal campsite] ABATEMENT FROM FIFTEE DAYS TO TEN DAYS, AND PROVIDE A SUNSET DATE OF JULY 1, 2021, Assembly Members Croft and Dyson.
